“We know who we are. So that in the future the tourism in the area is in accordance with our DNA and local wisdom. Our local wisdom cannot be followed by other regions. That will be sold as a tourist destination, “he said.
According to him, local wisdom in South Sumatra must be developed by the government and society. So that in the future it can increase regional income from the tourism sector.
“Religious people will return to their religion and beliefs. For example, Muslims who worship Umrah and Hajj. They visited the holy places where the prophet Muhammad used to go. The same is done by Christians, who visit places where their prophet has visited. This means that all religious communities return to history, “he said.
He hopes that after this seminar there will be more discussions, such as focused discussion, which will eventually produce a blue print on how to increase love for the country, tourism and regional income by maximizing local wisdom.
Meanwhile, DR Yoyok Hendarso, MA as the Director of Postgraduate Program at Unitas Palembang, was grateful for all the good help from the Palembang Darussalam Sultanate, the South Sumatra State Museum Balaputra Dewa so that this seminar could run well.
“As well as giving new enthusiasm with the signing, this is related to our theme not only understanding but also preserving history and culture towards an advanced Indonesia 2045, this is a great spirit, for us the spirit is great with real activities that we can carry out in Palembang, we are from Pascasajana. “There are still many of our young generations who don’t know what history is in the past. Our literacy is still low. It is hoped that this event will become a trigger for educators and the nation’s successor to re-learn history and culture. Because in the future, we have gone international. It has entered the 5.0 era, ”he said.
DPD RI Public Relations Dr. (C) Edrida Pulungan, M.HI., M.Si assessed that the history and culture of Palembang, including tourism, is a potential that has not been explored by the local government, however, it is the homework of all. stakeholders from local government, academia, private sector, community and media.
“The media are the actors who are currently influencing, especially with the Covid-19 pandemic. There is no single activity that can be known by the public, both the Indonesian people and the world community, if we don’t publish it, we hereby see various kinds of literature, historians, cultural observers. already know the potential of Palembang, “said the founder of Lentera Pustaka Indonesia.
According to him, this is a warning year, don’t be long and let’s conserve it, because in one world organization that builds tourism, all sectors must be intact, cannot be half-hearted and how local governments map.
“In the tourism restaurant, I see 42 historical and cultural tours, but the regional government prioritizes 7 or 8, I have seen tours in the form of tombs, areas such as Arabic villages, Tiohoa villages, mosques, if you pack it. A good one will generate extraordinary income but there must be conditions that people are aware of tourism because from there the economy will grow, “he said.
The most important thing is how leaders, especially local governments, are able to move things by being close to the community, because the community can create a tourism atmosphere.
“For example, a package for one day three nights, two days or something, it builds a very good eco-tourism system, so hopefully for the South Sumatra and Palembang Governments including the Culture Service, they start moving too, the Tourism Office starts to move synergistically but most importantly for me collaborative. government, because after all the private sector is waiting for government, but if you wait for no results, hopefully Palembang will become a world tourism destination and it has been characterized by the 2018 Asian Games and even before there were other international sports events, “he said.
He was grateful because for him Palembang provided a lot of historical inspiration, not only written by the people themselves.
“Welcome to Palembang, the city branding is charming Palembang, charming means charming and gives warmth to people who come,” he said while admitting that he fell in love when he came to Palembang and according to him Palembang could not be visited for one day and hoped to return to Palembang.

So that according to him Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin III is. A Sultan who gets legality is hereditary (based on genealogy). And most importantly, there is recognition from the Ulama.
“Drs. Raden Muhammad Sjafei Prabu Diraja, S.H or better known as Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin III is the fifth lineage of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II. Which was legalized or ordained by Demang Bakrie on August 18, 1931, “he said.

Raden Muhammad Syafei Prabu Diraja was crowned Sultan of Palembang Darussalam with the title Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin III by the Adat Council of the Palembang Darussalam Sultanate.
